Books are powerful. They open windows to new worlds, reflect identities, and spark imagination. In Cincinnati and across the nation, children are eager to learn, to dream, and to tell their own stories. What many of them don’t have is consistent access to books that reflect who they are and celebrate their voices and stories. At As Told By Foundation, we believe every child should be surrounded by stories that affirm their identity, nurture their love of reading, and open doors to opportunity. 

 

Research shows that increasing children’s access to print is one of the most effective ways to boost reading achievement. That’s why our programming is centered on putting high-quality, culturally relevant books directly into students’ hands—at no cost to them or their families.
