Meet Our Director
ARIN GENTRY
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, at a young age Arin always had a passion for learning and reading books. She is a graduate of Walnut Hills High School and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she earned her BA in Communication and MA in Higher Education Administration.
In the summer of 2020, during a pandemic and racial tension in America, Arin turned her passion into a purpose when she decided to play a role in social change by starting a book drive that focused on getting Black literature, with a focus on positive representation, into the hands of young students. She knows how affirming it is to read books that she can truly relate to and wants to make sure young boys and girls who look like her can share that same experience.
Arin is a mom to the most amazing toddler boy, Kyrin. If she is not reading to her son, you can find her working to help a student navigate college in her role as Academic Advisor and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati.
